Anyone in the Melbourne CBD yesterday would have noticed a lot of lycra and sweatbands floating around. No, it wasn't a "new wave" fashion event as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival, but was indeed the annual Run For The Kids fun run. We got on board this year and supported one of the teams participating, Team 100k, who so far this year have raised in excess of $50,000 for the event, with all proceeds going directly to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Over 200 Grill'd Team 100k runners assembled early Sunday in Fed Square before the run to don team shirts and headbands. Melbourne’s notorious weather smiled on us for once and ensured the day was going to be a cracker. Some of us were there for the fun, and others for the run, with an option of running either a 5.2km or 14.6km course.
The team came together after our athletic endeavour, with everyone heading in to Grill'd Degraves St after the run for a well deserved burger and a beer. Some team members were happy to recount their on-course heroics, whilst others were just happy to have made the finish line. A few of us here at Grill’d are a little worse for wear today - rest assured it was the run and not the beers that have taken a toll!

This is a photo of a table. But not just any old table. It just happens to be a table from the newest addition to the Grill'd family, our new restaurant in Mt Lawley WA.
We think it's going to be a great table, and the chairs look pretty comfy too. We're looking forward to lots of Perth people coming in to say hello and meeting our new table.
We'd like to show you the rest of the restaurant right now, but we're putting the finishes touches on it, so it wouldn't be fair. The table however looks fantastic as is.
The table (and the rest of Grill'd Mt Lawley) will be open for you to visit from this coming Monday (8 March).
Pleased to meet you Perth.
Love Grill'd (and the table)

We recently held a staff "audition" night in Perth to make sure we've got a super team in place for the upcoming opening of Grill'd Mt Lawley.
We like to think of our staff as rock stars, so there were no stuffy offices or collars and ties required on this occassion. Rather, on a typically balmy Perth night we assembled the selected few to audition for our Mt Lawley team. Hopefuls were put through their paces with a range of activities including role playing and singing. The chosen ones have now been anointed to bring Grill'd to the good people of Perth.
We're certain we've put together a champion team and look forward to you popping in to Grill'd Mt Lawley over the next few weeks to see for yourself.
