How long has Grill'd been open?
The first Grill'd store (or temple, depends how much you love Grill'd really) opened in Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn, in March 2004.
How many restaurants are there?
At the latest count there are currently 30 Grill'd restaurants. Find out where all of our stores are located. We are pretty pumped about this achievement and bringing Grill'd to more local communities!
How many staff does Grill'd employ?
Each store has around 25 to 30 employees; you do the maths!
What hours is Grill'd open?
Sunday - Thursday, 11:30am - approx. 10:00pm
Friday - Saturday, 11:30am - approx. 11:00pm
Note that opening hours are dependent on location and can therefore vary from store to store. If you're planning to come down at the end of the day, it's best to ring ahead to make sure we're still open. We'd hate to be closed when you arrive!
Does Grill'd do take away?
Absolutely! You can order in-store or place a phone order and get ready to receive a hero's
welcome when you walk in the door with a Grill'd bag or two in hand!
Does Grill'd deliver?
The question here is did the chicken REALLY ever cross the road? No. And if he did, he
probably became a very well entwined PART of the road. We wanna give you the best burgers,
and by the best, we mean HOT, fresh and tasty! So delivery is out of the question. Plus, going
to a Grill'd store is all part of the experience! So if lining up isn't really your thing, give us a call,
place your order, head on down and it'll be ready for you when you get here!
Are any stores licensed?
They don't just hand out licenses on a platter y'know? It all depends on store location and who's
cruising around the store, plus a bunch of other factors come into play too. More than half of our stores are currently licensed including Grill'd Ascot, St Kilda, Windsor, Malvern, Fitzroy, Richmond, Fountain Gate, Carlton, QV & Melbourne Central as well as Grill'd Bulimba, Fortitude Valley, Chermside, Rosalie, Coolangatta & Newcastle so if the idea of a beer with your burger gets you going, head on down to any one of these locations!

How can Grill'd burgers be healthy and yet so tasty?
We are rapt that we get asked this question so frequently! It comes back to the fact that
our patties contain no preservatives, are 95% fat free, our chicken breasts are trimmed
of all fat and we use only the highest quality, freshest ingredients. Put simply, they are made
with love!
What exactly is in the beef and lamb patties?
Lean, Australian meat blended with our signature tomato relish and selected natural herbs. Our
tomato relish ensures that patties remain moist and there is no need for fillers like egg or
breadcrumbs. Nothing else is added.
Who makes the veggie burgers and what is in them?
Our veggie burgers are made to our recipe by a vegetarian specialty producer and supplied
exclusively to Grill'd. There is a traditional veggie pattie, a tofu pattie and a chickpea pattie, all of
which contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. They contain only organic soy and
all ingredients are non-GMO.
Are the veggie patties suitable for vegans?
Yes.
Do you bake your own bread?
No, our buns are hand made by a skilled, traditional baker and are delivered to stores daily.
Do the buns contain much sugar?
No, unlike many other burger establishments, all Grill'd buns are low in sugar and taste much
better for it!
Is there a choice of buns?
Yes, there are 3 options - a panini made from a light white dough and topped with flour, a
traditional bun that is a wholemeal / white blend topped with sesame seeds and a gluten free* bun.
What if I want a burger without a bun?
No problem, just request no bun when placing your order.
What is the most popular beef burger?
Mighty Melbourne (aka. Big Queenslander or Almighty) - the perennial favourite.
What is the most popular chicken burger?
Simon Says - named after our inspiring founder.
Is there a kid's burger?
Yes, the Mini Moo and the Chicken Licken are great burgers for kids or for those who are after a
satisfying snack - or for the smaller tikes (under 7's) we have the Mini Me Packs with a mini burger, mini chips and juice plus crayons and an AWESOME FUN activity placemat.
Can I make my own burger?
Yes. While we have taken great pains to ensure the menu offers a wide range of awesome
combinations, we know that some of you will just want to do your own thing (satisfy your
own individual bizarre tastes)!
What makes Grill'd chips taste so great?
Our chips are cooked in cholesterol free cottonseed oil. Cottonseed oil is the highest quality,
most expensive and 'better for you' oil. Our chips are crispy, cut thick and absorb less oil than
other chips (lower surface area to volume ratio). Once cooked, they are sprinkled with a special
mix of herbs and shaken with sea salt and no way are we going to reveal our 'secret
recipe'!
What dipping sauces are available?
Choose between the legendary Grill'd herbed mayo, tomato relish or sweet chilli mayo -
everyone has their favourite.
What's in the herbed mayo?
Again, this is top secret. We could tell you but then we would have to shoot you.
How long will it take for my food to arrive?
Grill'd is a convenience restaurant that will always aim to get your order to you ASAP. While this
will normally take less than 10 minutes, delivery times may be slightly longer during peak periods.
Staff will keep you informed of waiting times and will call out your name when your order is
ready. Please remember that waiting times reflect the fact that all Grill'd burgers are made to
order and use only fresh ingredients.
How can I pay for my meal?
You can pay cash, EFTPOS (minimum transaction $10) or credit card. Grill'd accepts all major
credit cards (excluding Amex and Diners).
How is Grill'd different to other convenient food offerings?
A Grill'd burger is an extraordinary healthy burger experience unlike any other. All Grill'd
products are made from the highest quality, freshest ingredients to ensure we meet our promise
to deliver the best burgers in town.
Does Grill'd offer any student discounts?
Yes. On Mondays and Tuesdays, students can get a FREE drink (choice of Cool Ridge, Pepsi or
Schweppes 300ml varieties) with any burger purchase. This offer is thanks to our friends at
Cadbury Schweppes. Note that presentation of a student card is required.
Does Grill'd offer Combo Deals?
At Grill'd, we don't prescribe combinations. We believe that part of the fun is getting to create
your own rocking combination from our range of delicious ingredients.
Does Grill'd have a loyalty card or program?
Not yet but this is something we are looking at - stay tuned.
How many burgers has one person eaten?
We are not sure of the record holder on this but there are a number of regulars who order
double beef in the aptly named 'Mighty' Melbourne - you know who you are!
What is the quickest time for eating a Grill'd burger?
1 minute, 44 seconds! Shane Pigdon, part of the original Grill'd Hawthorn team, devoured a Crispy Bacon
