Healthy burgers for a healthier planet

We’re always pushing to do right by the environment and create a better future, one delicious burger at a time. Whether that’s trailblazing new science for better burgs, moving to GreenPower, partnering with small farmers and artisan makers, donating to local causes or championing animal welfare, we’re leading the way in sustainability for our producers, community and planet.

Our Food

Spread of burgers, chips and onion rings on a table

Handpicked, handmade

We’ve found the best ingredients that Australia’s backyard has to offer, from Echuca-grown tomatoes and beetroot born in Bundaberg to local beef from Gippsland, Southern Tablelands and Riverina.

Animal Welfare

Our burger standards are high. So are our animal welfare standards.

Our beef, lamb and chicken are 100% Australian, antibiotic free, hormone free, chemical free and preservative free. Our Gamechanger beef patties are the world's most sustainable beef burger patties, producing up to 67% less methane than regular beef. Our eggs are free-range with only 1500 hens per hectare. And our chickens? RSPCA Approved since 2016.

Something for everyone

Plant-based? No problem. From getting to know Garden Goodness to doing the Impossible™, we’ve searched far and wide to ensure that we serve you, our lil veggie-mites, the best plant-based alternatives on the market.

Get that bread

Baked and delivered fresh to our restaurants, our buns are free from refined sugar, artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Our Traditional and Panini buns are made with a living leaven (or starter culture) that gives them a unique taste that’s exclusively ours.

Salt o' the earth

Our flaky salt comes from Olsson’s, an Aussie family business that uses a 100% natural evaporative process for sustainable seasonings.

Our Environment

Sustainably Planted Forests

100% of the paper and cardboard for our takeaway packaging, knife sleeves and Mini Me kids packs is PEFC and FSC Certified. It comes from sustainably planted forests. For every tree cut down, another one gets planted in its place.

Positive Proteins

We have a unique way of making our patties so we need to work with the best in the game. Positive Proteins share our love for premium patties and sustainability – they've opted for 100% GreenPower for their production facility.

100% Recyclable Packaging

Thanks to water-based coatings, our packaging and burger boxes are 100% recyclable. We’re also plastic-straw free.

Sustainab-oil-ity

Our used restaurant cooking oil is taken away and recycled into biodiesel.

Keepin' it Green

We’ve currently got 64 restaurants that purchase GreenPower, a government accredited renewable energy product, with another 14 to come.

Our Community

$7.5 Million to Local Matters

Our Local Matters program has raised over $7,000,000. Thanks to 35,000 local groups, organisations and projects we have worked with to make a real difference to our local communities. The more hands, the bigger our impact.

Meals Donated

As a Relish member through our 8 and Donate program when you choose to donate a meal, we give 100% of the cost to Vinnies. Our combined efforts have meant that we have donated over 186,000 meals so far. On top of this, we also close 7 restaurants across Australia once a month, to feed those doing it tough in our cities.

The Bigger Picture

We’re fighting the good fight. We’ve worked with non-profit organisations like Vinnies, Red Cross, St Johns, Movember, Polished Man, Surf Life Saving Australia, and the RSPCA.

We're With You

We get behind our communities when they need support. In 2020, we raised $236,000 in our Bushfire Appeal to provide ongoing support to the communities affected.
